Where the Wellness Center Started

The client is a wellness center in Latin America that's worked with us since 2021. We aren't naming them. They get to keep their privacy, but we can share the numbers.

Our work with them began with local search in 2021. By 2023 the center was collecting $845K a year, and that's the baseline we measure the later years against.

How We Built Their Local Search and AEO

We did it in three pieces, and each one leaned on the last.

Building the Local Search Foundation

Most people call it SEO. Here it means whether a clinic turns up when somebody close by goes looking for what it does: in the map results, in the listings, on the pages that answer "where do I go for this?" From day one, the job was to make this center the obvious answer nearby.

That meant consistency everywhere a patient might look. Website, map listing, reviews, service pages. The job was making sure none of them told a different story. None of that is fast, and it compounds, so most clinics either skip it or give up before it pays.

AEO So AI Tools Cite Them

AEO stands for answer engine optimization. In practice it means getting the clinic named when the answer comes from ChatGPT or from Google's AI Overview. And patients do ask ChatGPT now. A lot of them read the AI Overview at the top of Google before they scroll at all.

Those tools pull from what already exists about a clinic online. So the local search foundation did double duty, because it gave the AI something solid to cite. When search changed and we added AEO, we didn't run it as a separate project. It went into the local search work.

Letting the Foundation Lift Other Channels

Once the foundation was in place, the center's other marketing started working harder. Someone who saw a paid ad and searched the center's name found strong listings and clear answers waiting. The directory listings were accurate and matched each other, which fed the same signals local search and the AI tools lean on. Organic social did its bit too. A post got someone curious enough to search the name, and what came up agreed with the post.

All of it pointed back to one trusted source. No channel had to carry the whole thing on its own.

Results Year by Year

YearCollected revenueChange
2023$845KBaseline
2024$1.27MAbout 50% growth
2025$2.01MAbout 58% growth, roughly 2.4x 2023
2026, Q1 to Q3$4.53MAbout 2.25x all of 2025, roughly 5.4x 2023

2024 was the first big step, with collected revenue up about 50%. Then 2025 grew faster than 2024 had, about 58%. By the end of it the center was at roughly 2.4 times its 2023 number.

2026 is where the compounding shows. Through the first three quarters the center has already collected about 2.25 times what it collected in all of 2025, with a quarter still to go. That's roughly 5.4 times where it stood in 2023. The monthly average so far this year is about $503K, against about $168K a month in 2025. Its best month on record brought in $913K in sales.

Results vary, and the center did the hard part. It delivers great care, so the reviews and referrals keep coming, and marketing can't fake that. Our part was making sure the right people found them, trusted them and called.

Why Local Search and AEO Compound

Ads work like rent: stop paying and the traffic stops. Local search and AEO are closer to equity, since each month builds on the one before.

This center's growth came from layers, not from one launch. The layers go like this: the first year of the work makes a clinic findable, the second makes it trusted, and by the third it's the default answer for people and for AI tools alike. Once a clinic is the default answer, its other channels get cheaper to win with.

What This Means for Your Clinic

A few questions are worth asking about your own practice:

  • When someone nearby searches for what you offer, does your clinic show up?
  • If a prospective patient asks ChatGPT, does it name you?
  • When your ads get a click, do they land on a strong foundation, or on nothing?

AI search is still new, and the window is still open. Clinics that build their foundation now are the ones AI tools will cite for years.
